Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Server Administration
- Install, manage and support Microsoft Windows servers, including Microsoft Exchange, Domain Controllers, file servers, DNS, DHCP, and other corporate servers.
- Support WSUS, Antivirus, CSA, Microsoft Certificate Authority, and RSA ACE Server
- Assist in the development of a redundant and reliable server infrastructure to provide minimal downtime for office applications
- Create documentation for standard operating processes
- Perform periodic documentation tasks relating to SAS70 and PCI compliance
DESKTOP / LAPTOP Support:
- Identify, diagnose and resolve problems for users of desktops, laptops, printers and associated software and hardware
- Deliver, setup, and configure end-user desktop hardware, software and peripherals
- Create desktop / laptop images for all model computers
- Ensure OS and security patches are up to date
- Diagnose and resolve end-user network or local printer problems, e-mail, internet, and LAN access and remote access problems
- Maintain up-to-date inventory of all desktops, laptops, printers, etc.
- Maintain client security and compliance standards
- Establish and manage appropriate escalation protocol
- Responsible for facilitating desktop/laptop hardware and software upgrades
- Handle highly technical or complex problems / projects as assigned
- Multi-client / multi-site support
- Support and administer IT requirements associated with at home agents including security, remote access, hardware, inventory, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in IT
- Bachelors degree in computer science and industry certifications or demonstrated equivalent experience
- 5 years hands-on experience working with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Extensive knowledge in Windows XP and Mac OS
- Specific knowledge in MS Office Products; such as, Office 2007 and Entourage
- Some experience with SAS70 and PCI compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of networking / distributed computing environment concepts: including principals of routing, client / server programming, network design, troubleshooting and problem resolution, backup and recovery
- Working knowledge of Windows Server Administration
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols
- Establish and maintain coverage to ensure system uptime, integrity, confidentiality, availability and reliability
- Strong professional, interpersonal, communication and multi-tasking skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills evidenced by ability to quickly set, adapt and adjust priorities
- Excellent customer service skills and organizational skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
- Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
- Make technical evaluations and make recommendations on innovation solutions
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours with little notice or supervision
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
- In-Depth Networking (LAN) and TCP / IP knowledge
